iSmart Shankar has been opened to a thunderous response across the Telugu states. Though the reviews have declared the film to be an average, it is still doing wonders at the box office. Especially, in the B, C Centers, the movie is doing extremely well.
Puri Jagannadh and Ram Pothineni, who is waiting for a super hit like this since long, is overjoyed over the response for iSmart Shankar. So, even before the movie completed a day’s run, the director has announced a sequel for it.

Director Ram Gopal Varma, who would always first in the list to appreciate Puri Jagannadh and his films, has showered praises on iSmart Shankar too and asked him to come up with a sequel. He also asked to consider iSmart Shankar 2 as the title.
“Hey @purijagan and @ramsayz Immidiatley please start ISSMART SHANKAR 2 …Instead of DOUBLE DHIMAAK it should be TRIPLE DHIMAAK,” wrote RGV.
Replying to the tweet, Puri tweeted, “Sir already registered the title DOUBLE ISMART.”
The actual fate of the movie will be decided on Monday, as every big movie will obviously do well in the weekends. But Puri announcing a title of the sequel much before, is revealing the confidence, he has on his work. But a few say, this might also end up as an over-confidence of the director, if the movie does not pick on Monday.
