FastTag is an initiative by the government to move digitally ahead. This initiative will save time for the vehicle owners near the toll gates and helps the government to reduce the maintenance costs.
People can buy FastTag in Paytm with an amount of Rs.400. Paytm is offering 2.5% cashback on all the transactions made towards payment of toll gate fees through FastTag. In the initial amount of Rs.400, Rs.250 goes towards security deposit and the remaining Rs.150 is the minimum balance that needs to be maintained.
FastTag services will be starting in the country from 15th of this month and this digital initiative is expected to be mutually beneficial to both the vehicle owners and the government. Apart from this digital service, BJP government is planning to start few more digital services to the people of India to reduce the time and effort. Few European countries were extending their technological support in the implementation design of the digital services.
