According to ‘The Real-Time Billionaires List’ of Forbes, Mukesh Ambani has been identified as the 9th richest person globally, with a net worth of USD 60 billion. Amazon Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos topped the list.
By tracking the ups and downs of the world’s richest people, the list reflects changes since 5 pm EST of the previous trading day. In the annual Forbes rich list for 2019, Ambani stood in 13th position.
With the significant hike in the share price of Reliance Industries, Ambani occupied a position in the list of the top 10 richest people in the world. Reliance became the first Indian firm to hit Rs 10 lakh crore market valuation mark following a spike in its share price.
After Bezos who topped the list with a networth of USD 113 billion, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates stood in the next position with a networth of USD 107.4 billion, followed by Bernard Arnault & family Chairman and CEO, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (USD 107.2 billion) in the further positions.
Others in the top 10 list are CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffett (USD 86.9 billion), Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg (USD 74.9 billion), Co-founder of software firm Oracle Larry Ellison (USD 69.2 billion), Carlos Slim Helu (USD 60.9 billion) and CEO of Alphabet Larry Page (USD 59.6 billion).
