EVMs gets shifted overnight in Jagityal!

After the transferring of EVMs from the strong room in Nuzvid assembly constituency has gone viral, here comes another similar incident. 10 EVMs have been transferred in the late hours of Monday in Jagityal.

All the EVMs have been transferred from Jagityal Tahsildar office to the godown in mini stadium in the auto rickshaws in a suspicious manner. But as the godowns were identified to be locked, they were transferred back to Tahsildar Office. Reportedly, even a set of EVMs have been transferred to the godowns earlier. Now the issue is going viral on the social media, with several anticipating that there’s a conspiracy behind it.

The concerned officials however said that they are transferring only such EVMs that were not used in the elections. But when the localites have asked about the reason to transfer the EVMs such late night, the officials had no answer. Jagityal district collector Dr Sharath took the issue into his notice and assured to come up with the facts, conducting the investigation.

Most of the TDP leaders are already alleging that there are several malfunctions that are held in the recently concluded assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh. Regarding this, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is already fighting against the EC, in Delhi, accompanying his friends in the regional parties in other states.

Even a similar scene was witnessed in Nuzvid constituency, when the election equipment was allegedly transferred from the strong rooms. Adding to it, VVPAT slips which are supposed to be secured till the results, were out in Atmakur government school yesterday, shocking the officials. Several such incidents are only worsening the public’s opinion on the electoral process. With the repeated incidents like these, it seems, that the winning party in AP, is going to face tough time from the oppositions this time.
