YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy came up with a logical question on Tuesday against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
It is known that right after concluding the elections in AP, Naidu is severely going against the Election Commission and is even protesting in Delhi. Naidu alleged that several EVMs during the elections have mal-functioned, while rest other opposition parties, especially the YSRCP leaders have busted Naidu terming it as fake allegations. They said that Naidu is only trying to do the political stunts but nothing else.
Now going a step ahead, Jagan in a press meet today, said, “the voting percentage in AP, has been witnessed as 80%, which is higher than the previous election in 2014. When none of such 80% people are complaining about the electoral process, why is Naidu alone making all the hullabaloo? The voters after clicking their choice of option on the EVMs, will be able to see the VVPAT slip and thus confirm the candidate and party they have chosen to vote. When no one came forward to complain on the issue, it is obvious that the public is confident that they have chosen the right candidate and none of such votes have been wasted. It is Naidu alone who is creating unnecessary disturbance about the EVMs.”
The analysts opine that whatever Jagan questioned Naidu in the EVMs issue has a logic, but it should be noted that the common public may not raise their voice out, like a Chief Minister of a state can do, unwilling to face the consequences.
However, a few from the public, who is ready to face any consequence, would come out to protest against the electoral process. If Naidu replies to Jagan in the above manner, it would be a logical counter. But it should be seen, whether he would come up with any such reply, while he is busy moving to the courts in the issue.
