YSRCP gets into celebration mood

Polling in 175 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies was completed amidst reports of violence in which two activists of the major contenders – the ruling TDP and its arch rival YSRCP – were killed and the result is ‘boxed’, yet the YSRCP has already begun celebrating.

Their confidence borne out of huge turnouts, which many accept as indicator, of people chose to show their ire against the ruling party.  Yes, seek for a change!

Protests and counter protests were reported over malfunctioning of the EVMs from various booths across the state.  In an unfortunate incident, the state Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasad Rao, was also allegedly roughed by the YSRCP activists in his native Guntur district.  State witnessed one of the bitterest battles fought in state annals of history.

Though the officials of election commission may deny and claim all went on smoothly, yet scars of heartburns of injustice meted out to them continue to haunt both the ruling TDP as well the YSRCP, till the final results will be out on May 23.

However, armed with pollsters projections, the YSRCP has already begun celebrations as if they won the battle hands down and also circulating where they are winning of 175 assembly constituencies in the state.  The list is going viral in the social media platforms.  Whether that carries any credibility or not, the stoic silence in the ruling TDP camp, is what giving credence to YSRCP claims.

In politics, ‘mind’ games are quite common and played out to outwit their rivals during any polls.  And if the response from the ‘rival’ is lukewarm, then those who launch the ‘game’ bound to gain ‘credence’ however temporary it may be.

The YSRCP claiming ‘clear victory’ to their candidates in as many as 115-120 of 175 constituencies is no small measured from any angle.   It just gives 45-50 to their rivals, having an advantage over their nominees.  Like pollsters, the YSRCP also dismiss Pavan Kalyan’s Jana Sena of creating any impact in the polls, except in 4-5 constituencies.

If that comes true, then Pavan Kalyan going to prove worse than his brother, who at least won 18 in 2014 polls, to save some ‘skin.’
