Vishakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat has acquired quite significance as the voters found it tough to choose among the candidates from the various parties. JD Lakshmi Naryana from Janasena Party is betting big on his victory in Vishakhapatnam constituency.
While Purandeshwari has got a good image in the constituency, in the beginning, it was felt that its tough to beat her. But due to the BJP’s low or to say zero prospects in Andhra Pradesh, the voters are looking towards other party candidates, the analysts opine.
Especially JD Lakshmi Narayana was shown in a limelight by Janasena and the party had highlighted him big time. Be it his professional background or the way he tried to woo the voters by giving the manifesto on a bond paper, has attracted the large section of voters. Even the social media lauded JD’s move and challenged the other party candidates if they can attempt to release their manifestos on the bond paper. This made JD bet big in Vizag.
On the other side, Bharat from TDP, being the son-in-law of Nandamuri Balakrishna and a close relative of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the cult TDP voters would stand by him. Adding to it, his sensible interviews in the recent times, has garnered an identical image for him, which is further expected to fetch him big.
Coming to YSRCP, Jagan Mohan Reddy who fielded his mother YS Vijayamma in the 2014 elections, had to face a bitter defeat in Vizag constituency. Unwilling to repeat the result, he kept his mother away from contesting in the elections this time. MVVS Satyanarayana who has a good educational background has contested from YSRCP in Vizag constituency.
But the analysts opine that the major fight would be among TDP and Janasena candidates. If the family sentiment fails with the TDP voters and think on a development perspective, then JD Lakshmi Narayana has bigger chances to win the Lok Sabha seat from Vishakhapatnam. However, the official result regarding this, will be known only on May 23rd.
