SHOCKING: Fadnavis back as Maharashtra CM

In a shocking twist, Devendra Fadnavis is back to the throne of Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, this morning.

The President’s rule has been announced in Maharashtra, after Shiv Sena tried to ally with other parties after the election results. In fact, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray was almost confirmed to be the CM of Maharashtra till yesterday. But in a shocking move, Fadnavis rose to power, all of a sudden and the President’s rule was thus revoked at 5:47 am today.

On the other side, NCP’s Ajit Pawar took oath as Deputy Chief Minister of the state. He said, “No party was able to form the government since the announcement of election results. Maharashtra was facing many problems, including farmer issues, so we decided to form a stable government.”

While BJP won 105 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly, Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress stood in the further positions, with 56, 54 and 44 seats respectively. So BJP was anticipated to form the government in the state. But in a shocking twist, Shiv Sena moved away from BJP and tried to form the government.

However, it failed to prove the majority in the deadline given by the Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Even NCP was given the similar opportunity and unfortunately even it failed to prove the majority. So the President’s rule was then imposed in the state. But finally, Fadnavis coming to power now has shocked the political circles of the state.
