Rs.600 medicine for Rs.5000? Minister Etela warns private hospitals !!

Telangana Medical and Health Minister Etela Rajender said that the situation in the state was under control despite the re-emergence of the corona epidemic in the state. He said the government had already issued a circular on how much to charge, but corporate hospitals were acting indiscriminately.

The minister warned that Rs 5,000 was being charged for Rs 600 medicine. In the wake of the rising number of Covid cases in the state, one lakh tests will be done per day if required. On Wednesday he held a review meeting with medical superiors.

The minister advised people not to go to private and corporate hospitals and spend lakhs for the treatment. He asked people to go to govt hospitals for Covid treatment and the government hospitals are guaranteed to provide better treatment. The death toll remained at 0.5 percent despite the high number of cases.
