Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday received his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at Delhi’s AIIMS.
On 1 March, Modi took the first dose of Covaxin, produced by Bharat Biotech. And, 37 days after his first shot, he has received the second dose of the vaccine.
Sharing the same on his social media account, the PM urged all those eligible to get inoculated against the deadly virus.
“Got my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS today. Vaccination is among the few ways we have, to defeat the virus. If you are eligible for the vaccine, get your shot soon,” PM Modi tweeted.
As per government data, India has administered over 84 million Covid-19 vaccine doses across the country by Tuesday. As many as 84,065,357 vaccine doses were given by 8 pm on Tuesday.
