TB Special Story: Nani blindly trusted Mohankrishna Indraganti?

Nani made his debut as male lead with Ashta Chemma which had Mohankrishna Indraganti at the helm, and understandably, Nani will be forever indebted to the latter.

Also, the second film in their combination, Gentleman was a decent enough hit at the box office.

Given Mohankrishna’s impressive track record, Nani blindly placed his trust on the proven filmmaker and signed ‘V’ which incidentally happens to be his 25th film. He gave his nod to the project even after knowing that Mohankrishna Indraganti’s story is a tad outdated.

Nani believed that Mohankrishna can narrate the story in a gripping manner with tight screenplay, but that wasn’t to be.

Mohankrishna’s screenplay for V fell flat and as a result, the film is not being received well by the Telugu audiences. It appears to be that the noted director could not keep up Nani’s trust this time around.
