Karan Johar, who bought the remake rights of Dear Comrade, had to face the shock of life, after the film failed to impress the Telugu audience. But the dynamic producer is still going ahead with the remake, by making a few changes to the script.
After watching the film, the audience said that the slow narration, lengthy run time, failing to highlight the main concept and more importance to the heroine’s role had killed the film.
Considering such points, Karan asked his team of writers to adjust the pace, by reducing the run time.
As the script concentrated on heroine’s character more, Karan is planning to increase scenes of the heroine in the first half and thus justify the script. He asked the writers to make all the necessary changes, that will be helpful for the project to get its deserved identity at the box office.

It is a common practice for the makers to make appropriate changes to the script, that was picked from other language. Son of Sardar, Ready, Simmba and several such films that were the remakes of Tollywood, managed to get the success after making several changes to the script. Karan is highly confident about Dear Comrade, due to which he grabbed the remake rights, even before the release.
