Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s granddaughter Soundarya hanged herself on Friday. She was 30.
As per reports, Soundarya was found dead at her apartment in Vasanth Nagar in Bangalore’s Central Business District. The maid, who came to the apartment around 10 am, informed Niranjan, Soundarya’s husband, that there was no answer from inside. He immediately made a phone call but did not receive an answer from her and he reached the house quickly. He opened the door with the spare key and found his wife hanging.
She was rushed to a nearby private hospital, but doctors confirmed that she had already lost her life. The body was taken to Bowring Hospital for autopsy. However, no suicide note was found at the scene.
