Vineet Kumar and Aahana Kumra’s Betaal is produced by Shah Rukh Khan and helmed by Patrick Graham. The web series has been predominantly shot in Mumbai, Lonavala and Khandala which is scheduled to stream soon on May 24.
In the first look released by Netflix, Vineet Kumar and Aahana Kumra are prepared to chase zombies. The image in the first glimpse potrays the main characters in menacing pose. While one actor is holding a rifle, the other is holding a lantern in the backdrop.
The main look of Netflix’s forthcoming web series, Betaal has been unleashed by the creators and it looks promising. The spine chiller zombie horror series, which is produced by Shah Rukh Khan under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment highlights Saand Ki Aankh and Mukkabaaz fame Vineet Kumar alongside Aahana Kumra, who is featured in films like Lipstick Under My Burkha and The Accidental Prime Minister.
The official story of Betaal depicts, “A remote town that turns into a battle ground owing to a breath taking fight when a two-century old Betaal, a British Indian Army official, and his contingent of zombie redcoats are confronted. With Indian police set in opposition to the undead armed force, hapless locals are implicated in an awful, spine thrilling strife.
Red Chillies earlier funded the spy thriller Bard of Blood for Netflix, and has another Indian orginal ‘Class of ’83, in the underway, starring Bobby Deol and directed by Atul Sabharwal.
