What is your daily routine in this lockdown? If you are not a government employee, you would have been going through your WFH duties and spending some valuable time with family, playing indoor games e.t.c. But these villagers from Uttarakhand state rebuild a road fro themselves making the most of this lockdown.
The residents of Kharki village in the Nainital district in Uttarakhand successfully rebuild a road to their village in this time period. Believe us..! This village is home to just 40 families. Now, the people of this village have put up a shining example of how to use the coronavirus lockdown time productively.
When interviewed, the villagers said that despite many complaints to the higher authorities about their severely damaged road, they did not pay attention and hence they have decided to rebuild it themselves.
One of the villagers said that the villagers took turns to prepare meals for the people who were working on rebuilding the road. If you wonder how did they manage to gather the equipment required to build a road, they just used regular household appliances.
Eventually, after a month of hard work, they have successfully laid a road of three kilometers with two-meters wide and diligently followed the lockdown norms including wearing masks, maintaining social distancing.
