Under the aim of the optimum utilisation of the resources and infrastructure in a state like Andhra Pradesh, the YSR Congress government has decided to reorganise the new districts and appointed a committee that is said to be uneffected by any political pressure.
Now, it is mentioned that the exercise for the reorganistion of districts is nearing completion. A committee of officials appointed by the government is preparing for the declaration of the final districts to this extent.
CM Jagan has already given clear instructions that no YCP leader should interfere in the matter of new districts being formed by parliamentary constituencies. With this serious warning from the CM Jagan, this process has been going smoothly.
Assembly Deputy Speaker Kona Raghupathi said the new district announcement would be based on the reports of committees appointed by the AP government for reorganization of districts next year.
The announcement of the new districts will be made on January 26 next year on the occasion of Republic Day, said the Deputy Speaker in Guntur. Kona further said that 26 districts will be formed in AP.
In addition to the parliamentary constituencies, we are also setting up the largest Araku constituency as one district. Raghupathi explained that the authorities were deciding on the district boundaries as well as other issues.
