At the time it led to a big scandal. An FIR has been registered against several persons under sections 146, 147, 153, and 174 of the Railway Act in connection with the incident. A case has been registered against Mudragada Padmanabhan and Sudhakar Naidu.
Recently, the Vijayawada Railway Court has given a shock to the accused, including the Kapu movement leader, Mudragada Padmanabham in the Tuni train burning incident in East Godavari district.
The court issued summons to the accused to appear in court on March 3 this year.
