Former Minister Mudragada Padmanabham finally declared that he quits the Kapu agitation and protests that demand the inclusion of the ‘Kapu’ community in the BC category. This Kapu issue is a pending one for many years and many political parties took this issue as an advantage for their political growth but no one has done justice to the Kapu community in favor of there demands.
Under Kapu agitation, Mudragada gained immense fame among the Kapu Community who was earlier named as the person who is fighting for his community selflessly but now he is facing severe criticism from the same Kapu people for quitting the protest due to some external pressures.
Mudragada Padmanabham fought severely for the Kapu reservation during Chandra Babu period and he never turned back for any pressure but now all of a sudden he did quit the agitation at the peak of its time under YSRCP rule. He says that the own Kapu leaders are opposing his fight and this reason appears really lame for a leader of his range to quit the agitation that has been going on with a long-lasting desire of a community that has been fighting for its rights for years.
Many people term this ‘walkout’ as ‘politically driven’ and some TDP supporters say that this act from Mudragada is the conspiracy of the ruling YSRCP who are intending to separate Kapu community into two groups. Many people started to believe that this whole thing appears as nothing but a political game to show the supremacy and command of the ruling party in the state who can crush any kind of protest with their power.
