Condolences pour in for veteran actress Jamuna

We already reported that veteran Telugu actress Jamuna passed away today at her residence in Hyderabad. She breathed her last owing to age-related ailments. She was 86.

Condolences are now pouring in over the demise of Jamuna. Megastar Chiranjeevi on Friday took to his Twitter handle to mourn the death of the legendary actress. “The news of senior heroine Jamuna passing away is very sad. She is a multi-lingual actress.Though her mother tongue is Kannada, she left an indelible mark in the hearts of Telugu people with many successful films,” he wrote.

Superstar Mahesh Babu said in a tweet, “Saddened to hear about the demise of #Jamuna garu. Will fondly remember her for all her iconic roles and her immense contribution to the industry. My condolences to her family and loved ones.”

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan offered his condolences to Jamuna’s family members and friends.

Young Tiger NTR expressed his deepest condolences to the family members of the veteran actress. “She continued as Queen in the Telugu film industry for almost 30 years. She left an indelible mark on our minds with many memorable films like Gundamma Katha, Missamma and many more diverse characters. May your soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to Jamuna’s family,” he said.

Actor Nithiin tweeted, “Shocked to hear about the demise of legendary actress #Jamuna Garu. May her soul rest in peace. Sending my deepest condolences to her near and dear..om shanti.”

Veteran filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao in his tweet wrote, “Saddened by the passing of legendary actress #Jamuna garu. Will fondly remember her for all her iconic roles and her immense contribution to the industry. My condolences to her family and loved ones.”

Nandamuri Balakrishna expressed his grief on the sudden demise of Jamuna. He offered condolences to the family members.
