The YSRCP hasn’t held its plenary session in over three years, having last conducted its plenary in 2018, ahead of the 2019 general elections. It was during this Plenary that Jagan announced his Navaratnalu scheme and his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, which turned out to be major game-changers for him.
While the YSRCP hasn’t conducted its plenary since then, despite having passed an order that all parties should conduct their plenaries once every two years, the YSRCP hasn’t been able to do that due to the pandemic in 2020. On the other hand, the TDP managed to conduct its plenary in 2020, despite the pandemic, thanks to Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership.
In Telangana. it is being said that KCR is planning to conduct his plenary meeting very soon. Jagan is expected to conduct his plenary meeting only after the reshuffling of his cabinet members, as he has reportedly decided to hand over some major responsibilities to all the members he has decided to drop from the cabinet. It is now to be seen when this will happen, and who will be given what responsibilities.
