A cold war has been brewing between Telangana Chief Minister KCR and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, over the distribution of the Krishna river water, between the two states. Ever since then, KCR has been managing to win over Jagan in every way possible. However, it now looks like Jagan has scored over KCR for the first time.
The Central government issued a gazette that all projects on the Krishna and Godavari Rivers should be handed over to the Centre by October 14th. KCR has been strongly opposing this decision by the Centre ever since the gazette was released, saying that handing over these projects to the centre would be a great dishonour to the state’s self-respect.
On the other hand, Jagan shocked everyone by handing over the projects to the Centre on October 14th, without any opposition at all, putting KCR in a major fix, as this would draw comparisons between the both, and even given Jagan the chance to go to legal battles with KCR. It is now to be seen what KCR will do in the coming days.
