A tragedic incident took place in Ruia hospital in Tirupati. It has 700 oxygen beds and another 300 normal beds. Of these, 135 patients were in the ICU ward while 465 patients were on oxygen beds and a total of 163 people are being treated on ventilators. A total of 11 corona patients died due to a shortage of oxygen. The incident took place at around 8 pm. With this, those being treated on a ventilator were suddenly paralyzed. Victims complain that the oxygen supply stopped for about 30 minutes.
In the meantime, the arrival of the tanker seems to have saved many lives. Thirty doctors are treating corona patients in ICU. The incident took place due to some delay in the arrival of the oxygen tanker from Sriperumbudur in Chennai. More details on this incident are yet to be known. Police are investigating the incident.
