The sensitive details of 10 crore credit and debit card users are alarming to appear on the DarkWeb.
According to a security researcher, users’ full names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and the first and last four digits of their cards were leaked on DarkWeb.
It seems to be associated with Juspay, the payments platform that handles the transactions of companies such as Amazon, MakeMy Trip, and Swiggy around India and around the world.
The leaked details were put up for sale by a hacker on the Dark Web. Rajasekhar Rajharia, a cybersecurity researcher, said that the hacker was contacting buyers by telegram and wanted to pay him with bitcoin.
He said that these were put up for sale under the name of Juspay.
