The state of Telangana has been continuing to develop in the IT sector for quite some time now, of which Hyderabad is the central point of focus. Now, the government of Telangana has struck a deal with Amazon, whose worth is Rs. 20,761 Crores.
This is the first huge Foreign Direct Investments that the state of Telangana has received. This project deals with Amazon’s Web Services, which are used by various companies all around the world.
Taking to Twitter, Minister KTR said that there would be multiple data centers all across the state by 2022, and that thousands of Telangana’s youth would greatly benefit in the job sector because of this deal.
Hyderabad is now one of the major cities that Amazon deals in, in various aspects. Just last year, the world’s largest Amazon campus was opened in Hyderabad. This new AWS Asia Pacific Hyderabad site will initially have three Availability Zones, and will later join 9 AWS regions and 26 availability zones across Asia in India, Australia, Greater China, Japan, Korea and Singapore.
‘Availability Zones’ can be described as technology infrastructure which are situated in different locations, at enough distance from each other to significantly reduce the risk of natural disasters. Each Availability Zone has independent power, cooling, and physical security and is connected via redundant, ultra-low-latency networks, which are also said to be eco-friendly. This will also provide much better network and tools for everyone to better use.
