YSRCP poll prospects sound positive

Among the three political parties in Andhra Pradesh- TDP, YSRCP and Janasena, it seems the poll prospects of Jagan’s party are positive this time.

In 2014 elections, YSRCP has lost with a very less voting percentage even in the euphoria of Pawan Kalyan supporting TDP. But as the Janasenani this time is against TDP, and adding to it, he himself is contesting in the elections under his own party, Pawan fans who earlier voted TDP, would naturally shift to Janasena this time. This could severely affect Telugu Desam.

Adding to it, the last five years worsened the position of TDP in most of the aspects. Most importantly, the way Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chanrababu Naidu changed his opinions on AP special status from time to time and tried to mask up all his faults through his backed media, received huge criticisms all over. TDP’s bitter debacle in the recent Telangana elections already hinted that how hard times, the party is going to face in Andhra Pradesh too.

On the other side, Janasena was silent for the last four years and was rarely heard about any big political activity. But it instantly increased the pace, just before the elections. There are still several places in Andhra, where Pawan could not campaign yet and in no way, he can complete it, before the elections.

If Pawan was really seriously about forming the government, he would have engaged in the political activities rapidly, much before, a few opine. So, an impact can be definitely felt from Janasena, but not as big as forming the government.

So the last and the only big option left to Andhrites is YSRCP. Compared to 2014, the party’s manifesto for 2019 elections sounds much better. YSR was extremely successful as Chief Minister due to his innovative schemes mainly aimed at poor people. In the similar way, YSRCP’s present manifesto was aimed at poor and also the farmers.

Be it Rs. 12500 investment support to the farmers, construction and distribution of 25 lakhs houses to the poor, free medical help if the bill exceeds Rs. 1000 and several such key points have been included in the manifesto, apart from the inclusion of YSR’s popular schemes like fee reimbursement, Arogya Sri etc.

Several such things are making YSRCP aim big in the upcoming elections and the analysts opine that the party has every chance to form the government this time.
