It is a known fact that Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin, the Covid vaccine developed in India, is currently being administered to the people in India and other countries.
Although the makers of the vaccine claim good efficiency against the virus, the World Health Organisation (WHO) is said to be delayed to announce it as emergency use authorisation (EUA).
The latest news is that World Health Organization (WHO) has asked for more data from Bharat Biotech for its Covaxin. The Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA) for the vaccine will be delayed by a few more days.
The Hyderabad-based company on Tuesday said it is working with the WHO for approval of emergency use authorisation (EUA) for Covaxin.
“As a responsible manufacturer with past approvals for our other vaccines, we do not find it appropriate to speculate or comment on the regulatory approval process and its timelines. We are diligently working with the WHO to obtain EUL at the earliest,” Bharat Biotech said in a statement. Earlier, the organisation’s nod for the vaccine was expected by 5 October.
