Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel, who is better known to Telugu audiences for playing the female lead in Mahesh Babu’s Naani, has landed in a major trouble.
The 47 year old actress was booked under sections 420 and 120 of the CrPC for a fraud and cheque bounce case. A Ranchi civil court has issued a warrant against Ameesha and her business partner Krunal on Thursday regarding the same.
According to reports, a film producer named Ajay Kumar Singh from Jharkhand filed a fraud, intimidation and cheque bounce against Ameesha and Krunal after they failed to return the money which they took from him.
When Ajay asked for his money back, Ameesha had given him two cheques in October 2018, which bounced. However, the actress or her lawyer didn’t appear in the court for the hearing for which the court expressed its displeasure and issued warrant against her. The next hearing of the case is on April 15.
