It is known that Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar was arrested by the Warangal Police on Wednesday in connection with the leak of SSC exam papers. A Hanamkonda court remanded the MP and three others in judicial custody till April 19.
The latest news is that Bandi Sanjay Kumar was granted bail by a magistrate court in Warangal on the condition of Rs 28,000 surety. After hearing the arguments of the MP’s council and the police, the magistrate granted the bail on Thursday night.
The police named Bandi Sanjay as prime accused in the paper lead case and booked him on the charges of criminal conspiracy and malpractices, among others.
Granting the bail, the court set the condition that the Lok Sabha MP from Karimnagar constituency should not tamper with the evidence, leave the country, and should cooperate with the investigation.
