Veteran actress Jamuna passes away

Tollywood mourned the passing of superstar Krishna later last year and sadly 2023 didn’t get off to any better start either as veteran actress Jamuna sadly passed away earlier today.

Jamuna had been suffering from various medical complications for a while now and she sadly succumbed to the same in the early hours of 27 January.

The veteran actress hails from a Telugu family. Here father’s name is Srinivasa Rao and mother’s name is Kausalyadevi. She did her schooling in Duggirala, Guntur.

In her sprawling career, Jamuna acted in hundreds of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi films. She acted with a host of Tollywood’s talismanic personalities like NTR, ANR, SVR and Krishna.

Jamuna made a successful political entry as well. She won as an MLA from Rajamahendravaram back in 1989. She contested on Congress ticket and won the election.

Telugu Bulletin prays for strength and solidarity to the family and friends in these difficult times.
