In an interview development of sorts, Vaishnav Tej’s Kondapolam might be releasing aheadkf Uppena which was supposed to be his debut film.
Apparently, Mythri Movie Makers, who bankrolled Uppena are waiting for complete normalcy to be restored. They will release the film in theaters only after are fully confident about the theatrical business. The release of Uppena would ultimately be based on the box office performance of other films which will release early next year.
On the other hand, Kondapolam had wrapped up shoot and is ready for release.
The makers of the Krish directorial are presently in talks with a couple of OTT platforms and they will be singing an agreement soon.
In all likelihood, Kondapolam will be gearing up for direct to digital release sooner or later. In that case, it might release well ahead of Uppena.
That said, Mythri Movie Makers will not be pleased with the possibility of Kondapolam releasing before Uppena. We need to wait and see how they will react to these latest developments.
