The United States is going to lift travel restrictions for India. As the new academic year for US schools and colleges starts in August, the US govt decided to lift the travel restrictions on Indians. Some universities in the United States will open next July and others on the 10th of August. In the wake of this, American varsities have decided to extend the deadline for those attending in July by another 25 days. This was recently confirmed by a spokesman for the US Embassy in India. He suggested that students who want to attend in person in August should immediately contact the respective varsity authorities.
Currently, the American embassy in Delhi, as well as consulates in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata have started the process of student visa interviews from the 14th of this month as the corona intensity is declining.
