Naga Chaitanya and director Chandoo Mondeti are collaborating for the third time on a romantic film set in a picturesque rural setting titled “Thandel.” The film, which is currently in production, features Sai Pallavi as the female lead. Produced by Bunny Vasu and presented by Allu Aravind under the prestigious Geetha Arts banner, the movie has generated significant excitement since its announcement.
The promotional material, including the first look and teaser, has received positive response. In a significant development, Netflix has secured the digital streaming rights for “Thandel” across South Indian and Hindi languages, with the deal valued at an impressive Rs 40 Crore. This marks the largest digital rights acquisition for a film starring Naga Chaitanya.
Naga Chaitanya’s consistent performance at the box office, Chandoo Mondeti’s recent success with “Karthikeya 2,” and the reputation of Geetha Arts have all contributed to the lucrative offer for “Thandel.”
The film promises not only a compelling love story but also patriotic themes, as hinted in the teaser, raising audience expectations. The cinematography is handled by Shamdat, with the renowned Devi Sri Prasad composing the music, and Srinagendra Tangala overseeing the art direction.
