Here is an incident, where a few of the women in Uttar Pradesh have walked into police station to pour water over inspector. The photos of it have gone viral on the internet recently.
Though the photos were clicked in 2015, in the Siddharth Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, a police official has shared those recently. The photos are ‘special’ because they tell us about a rather peculiar way to call upon the god of rain.
The much talked about photos are captioned, “”Mahilao ka ek jhund lota, balti aur jug main paani liye thane main pravesh hua. Thane vale achambhit! Samajh se pare tha ki majra kya hai?
“Tab ek mahila boli, saheb, varsha nahi ho rahi, yahan manyata hai ki elake ke raja ko nehlaya jae to varsha ho jati hai. To sahab chup chap beth gaye,” wrote the user.
While a group of women were pouring water on a police officer, it is good to see him happily accepting their gesture. The act is due to an age-old belief of the people over there, that has been passed down through generations.
