After the first wave of Covid-19, the film industry took an unwanted gap and released a few films on the big screens. However, the second wave has shattered the plans of the filmmakers and it made the theatres shut yet again.
Now, the latest news is that producers are planning to release medium and smaller budget movies starting from the middle of July.
We are aware that many small and medium budget films, which completed the shootings, are unable to decide on releasing the films on big screens considering the pandemic situations. Meanwhile, the OTT platforms are offering good deals for films, which have hype among the audience.
But the declining Covid infections in the country has given the filmmakers a ray of hope to have direct releases in theatres. As per our sources, Nani starrer Tuck Jagadish and Naga Chaitanya starrer Love Story are considering an August release if the Covid situation continues to get better. More details are awaited.
