The AP govt has taken a sensational decision. The AP govt has proposed to increase the property tax in the state. With this, the people living in major cities of AP are raising concerns. Recently, the municipal corporations in major cities in AP such as Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Anantpur released a draft notification and asked to submit objections if any within 4 weeks. In addition, the municipal corporation officers asked the people to submit their objections personally at their offices unlike online or through the post.
People incensed over the new rule set by the corporations. They are questioning that how people can come out in these dire situations. Along with this, from now, the property tax will be calculated based on the property’s capital value prescribed by the registrations and stamps department. People are expressing ire as the officials hiked the tax rates and are asking to submit the objection personally at their offices.
