TSPSC Paper Leak: HC orders SIT to submit report in 3 weeks

The Telangana High Court has instructed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to deliver its inquiry report on the TSPSC paper leak within a span of three weeks. During a hearing on Wednesday, the Telangana High Court deliberated on the petition submitted by Advocate Sarath concerning the TSPSC paper leak. The court probed the SIT’s investigation findings and mandated that the SIT provide the inquiry report within the stipulated three-week timeframe.

Earlier this year, the TSPSC exams scheduled for March were postponed due to a breach in the TSPSC office’s computer systems. The delay was initially attributed to hacking, but subsequent police investigation revealed the leakage of TSPSC exam papers. In response, the state government entrusted the inquiry of this matter to the Special Investigation Team (SIT). The case was initially registered with the Begumpet police station. Acting on this registration, the SIT assumed control of the investigation. On June 9 this year, SIT officials presented the charge sheet in court, disclosing transactions amounting to Rs 1.63 crore. The SIT has thus far arrested 96 individuals in connection with the case, and further arrests are anticipated.

Rajasekhar Reddy and Praveen were identified by the SIT as key players in the TSPSC paper leak case. Through their investigations, the SIT uncovered a network of paper transmissions involving multiple individuals. The SIT’s inquiry revealed that Ramesh, employed as a DE in the Warangal-based Electricity Department, facilitated the distribution of exam papers to candidates across various coaching centres. Additionally, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated an investigation in response to a complaint lodged by TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy concerning the TSPSC paper leak issue.
