‘Mangalavaaram’, an action thriller from writer-director-producer Ajay Bhupathi, is going to be released in theatres soon. The film made a striking start when Payal Rajput went topless in her first look poster. A concept poster and an intriguing teaser, which arrived later, were equally interesting.
Mudhra Media Works and Bhupathi’s A Creative Works have now released a song composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath, the music director of the tentpole Kannada classic ‘Kantara’. ‘Ganagana Mogalira’ starts off as a generic festival song dedicated to Goddess Ammoru. As it advances, we are introduced to a new element. The village is engulfed by the fear of death. Someone or the other has been founded dead every Tuesday. The lyrics say that the village is in the grip of evil forces. It is now the turn of the good guys to bay for the blood of their nemesis.
The film’s pan-Indian release has been confirmed by the makers. Nandita Swetha appears to be playing the role of a cop who is in the village to chase the mystery. In what looks like a whodunit as well as a whydunit, the film also features Krishna Chaitanya, Ajay Ghosh and others.
Art director Raghu Kulkarni, sound designer Raja Krishnan and cinematographer Dasaradhi Sivendra have worked alongside dialogue writer Syed Tejuddin. Pruthvi Shekar and Real Sathish choreographed the fights.
