The number of corona-positive cases in Telangana has been increasing exponentially from the past four weeks, said Telangana Public Health Director Srinivasa Rao.
He clarified that the situation would remain the same for the next six weeks. He warned that if the situation continues the same, soon Telangana will become another Maharashtra.
Earlier it was said that there was a risk of scarcity of beds in the hospitals of Telangana. Currently, the hospitals of Hyderabad are running out of beds. He said there was no idea of imposing a lockdown or curfew to avoid a financial crisis in the state.
He said that the situation in Telangana is becoming more dangerous and advised people to exercise self-care. Srinivasa Rao said that the second wave of coronavirus is spreading at a faster rate.
