Due to the covid-19 impact this year’s Bathukamma celebrations are going to be relatively low key despite getting permits on large scale. Such grand festive filled with grand and pomp surely will be missed by the devotees in 2020. Telangana Vidwath Sabha has announced earlier in September that the Bathukamma festivals should be commemorated in the state from 16 to 24 October.
As the festival is nearing, Telangana Jagruthi released Bathukamma songs CD and books on this special ocassion of Bathukamma festival held at Ashok Nagar, here on Friday. Every individual maintained social distancing as per the updated covid norms while participating in the launch ceremony.
The State deputies of Telangana Jagruthi released eight folk melodies recorded to rev up the joy in commemorating Bathukamma alongside pocket-size books of Bathukamma tunes imprinted as text.
As per the press report, the foundation further released three special Bathukamma songs penned by poet and writer Kodari Srinu, rendered by singers Telu Vijaya, Padmavati and Varam, music composed by Venu and directed by Damodar Reddy.
Telangana Jagruthi played a key role in glorifying the Bathukamma festival culture to have a global outreach. Recently, Nizamabad MLC Kavitha wished every woman a happy and safe Bathukamma celeberations.
