A while back, Sithara Entertainments announced that they would be bankrolling Nani’s upcoming project Shyam Singha Roy. They even kick-started the pre-production works and began finalizing the lead cast. But all of a sudden, Sithara Entertainments opted out of the project without citing any particular reason.
In the recently released poster of Shyam Singha Roy, it is mentioned that Venkat Boyanapalli will be producing Shyam Singha Roy under Niharika Entertainments banner.
Here’s what we found when we dug deep and unravelled the real reason why Sithara Entertainments dissociated with the Nani starrer.
Apparently, Nani was very particular about the budget of Shyam Singha Roy. He wanted the producers to back the project no holds barred and spend around Rs 40 crores on it. But this wasn’t in the best interests of Sithara Entertainments and they eventually backed out.
Nani is not in best of forms and spending Rs 40 crores on this project may not be an economically feasible option. This is said to be the main reason why Sithara Entertainments parter ways with the Rahul Sankrityan directorial. Now, we need to wait and see if the new producer who came on board will spend big bucks on the project.
