Megastar Chiranjeevi will be kick-starting Vedhalam remake as soon as he is done with Acharya shoot. The pre-production works of the film are being carried out at a brisk pace now as Meher Ramesh is planning to complete shoot in quick time.

The latest we hear is that the makers of Vedhalam remake have allotted a shoestring budget for the project. The budget has been capped at Rs 60 crores and Meher Ramesh will have to complete the entire filming process within the allotted budget.

Coming to Chiranjeevi, he will not be taking any remuneration for the film. Instead, he will take a sizeable share in the collections once the film is out in theaters. This is the first time Chiranjeevi is following this business model.

Anil Sunkara is producing the project under AK Entertainments banner. He is insisting on completing the project with a strict budget limit.
