Senior Wicketkeeper-batsman Retires from all forms of Cricket

Former India wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha on Monday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Ojha, 37, has represented India in three formats. He played one Test, one ODI and two T20s for the country.

The ace cricketer from Madhya Pradesh holds the record for the most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in the Ranji Trophy. He made his international debut for India in 2010 but ended up playing the only one ODI, against Sri Lanka at Harare.

Ojha earned his first Test cap in 2015 during India’s tour of Sri Lanka. He made his Test debut by replacing an injured Wriddhiman Saha.

Ojha has represented multiple teams in the Indian Premier League, including the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was a part of the SRH, that beat RCB in the final, that lifted the 2016 IPL title. He was also selected by the Rajasthan Royals franchise and Delhi Capitals before his move to SRH.
