Salman Khan applies for weapon license after death threat

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on Friday met the newly appointed Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar at the latter’s office in Mumbai.

As per reports, the actor has applied for a weapon license in the wake of a threat letter received by him last month. He also met Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Vishwas Nangre-Patil at the commissioner’s office.

When asked by reporters about the purpose of the visit, the actor said, “Police commissioner is an old friend. “

However, a police source revealed that Mr Khan had recently received threat letters, owing to which he is ensuring to amp up his security.

It is known that Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan received a letter last month that threatened them they would meet the same fate as singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead in May.
