Sajjala: TDP is gearing up to vandalise the statues of Ambedkar and Ranga

The atrocities against the Hindu religion in the state of Andhra Pradesh need not be spoken about at length, to make one understand how dire the situation is, in the state.

On top of that, the real tragedy comes in the form of the state government not taking any substantial action against the perpetrators, and no action to make sure that nothing of the sort happens in the future.

What turned out to be comical at first, and blasphemous eventually were the statements made by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy a few months ago, where he blamed the opposition party, TDP, for being responsible for everything that has been happening to Hindu temples and Gods.

He said that the TDP members have been doing all those miscreant deeds for political advantages, and are the ones who are ultimately putting up a facade, in front of the people, to get their support.

When these statements were made by the CM, none of the general public took it normally, as everyone was appalled at the way the CM himself was trying to brush these events off, and not take any responsibility for them.

In a similar tone, Government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has now said that the TDP is gearing up to vandalise the statues of Ambedkar and Ranga in the state. This only indicates that the ruling party is very much aware of what is going to happen, and is yet not bothered to take actions and make sure that this does not happen. Or, the only other way this can be looked at is that the ruling party is going to let this happen, and then take advantage of it.

Fact is, had the government taken action against the perpetrators of the destroyed Hindu God idols at the Pithapuram temple, the burning of the Antarvedi chariot would not have taken place at all. What’s the use in blaming others when the government is the least bit bothered about taking any action at all. Opposition parties are known to make any issue of the state political, for their own advantage. Isn’t the ruling party supposed to be more responsible and drive away criticism aimed at them, by doing the right thing?
