India and Russia share a good bonding on all aspects. In Covid-19 race, Russia developed Sputnik-5 vaccine and the country declared that they successfully tested it on humans. Interestingly, several countries along with WHO recommended for further testing before using it world wide. Meanwhile, Russia wants to manufacture the vaccine at large scale to deliver to the countries that are currently requesting the vaccine.
As Russia doesn’t have a high capacity of drug production, the country officially requested help from India to manufacture the vaccine. Russia claims that this vaccine has been tested on 20000 nationals of Russia, Saudi Arabia and UAE. It seems that they didn’t see any side effects and hence are optimistic that this vaccine is a life savior for the world.
Indian drug manufacturers are currently busy either developing ‘Made in India’ Covid-19 vaccine or doing human trails for UK based vaccine. “Will Indian drug manufacturers show interest in helping Russia at this moment?” Stay tuned to know the answer.
