RRR: It’s unfortunate that Jagan is not a Hindu

YSRCP member and Narasapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju has yet again appeared in front of the media, and has discussed several aspects related to the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking about the issue of the 3 Capitals, he said that it is unfortunate that the Central Government has submitted an affidavit in the High Court saying that it has no say with respect to the Capital issue, and that the sole power lies with the state government.

RRR said that this has to do with the CRDA repeal bill, and the AP reorganisation act of 2014. He said that the Capital of Amaravati was approved in the Lok Sabha, and also the AP reorganisation act, in which it is clearly mentioned that the state of AP is to have a single capital. He did say that the Central Government was right in saying that the State Government has the sole power to choose which capital it wants, but also said that it was unfortunate for the Center to not say anything at all.

Further commenting on the capital issue, RRR said that this seems to be a fun thing for all the governments that are assuming office in AP. He said that TDP chose Amaravati as the capital, YSRCP introduced 3 Capitals, and added that the next government may choose yet another capital for the state. This all seems like a game, he said.

Speaking about the upcoming Vinayaka Chaviti (Ganesh Chaturti) on August 22nd, RRR said that it is important for everyone to celebrate this very important festival while continuing to adhere to Coronavirus norms and regulations. He took the example of Telangana BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar who said that the people of Telangana had to make sure that they celebrated all 9 days of Ganesh Chaturti and then take part in the immersion of the Lord in a very safe manner.

RRR said that a similar ideology was supposed to be followed in Andhra as well, but said that it was unfortunate that the AP BJP party leader Somu Veerraju doesn’t share the same beliefs. Somu Veerraju had asked the people of AP to celebrate Ganesh Chaturti on a very low scale, and not to celebrate it for 9 days, because of the ongoing Coronavirus situation.

Taking the example of other religions, RRR said that it is unfortunate that only Hindus are being given such rules and regulations while others, like Christians, get to visit the Church and offer their prayers every Sunday, without the slightest of hindrance.

RRR said that it is unfortunate that Jagan is not a Hindu anymore and that he is a Christian, because of which Hindus are not getting their due importance, with respect to following their culture and traditions. RRR requested the CM to consider the faith of Hindus and grant them permission to follow their culture with proper restrictions in place.
