Gunasekhar planned to direct ‘Hiranyakashyapa’, a mythological film with Rama Daggubati in the lead role. Suresh Productions agreed to spend Rs 200 crores on the mega project.
However, Suresh Productions revised the budget of the film after the Covid-19 outbreak and spending Rs 200 crores is not in their best interests now.
Consequently, Rana came forward and held talks with Hollywood production house, Fox Star Studios. He personally orchestrated the entire development and played a pivotal role in bringing the Hollywood production onboard.
Fox Star Studios will now be co-producing ‘Hiranyakashyapa’ in association with Suresh Productions. The film will be made on initially planned budget of Rs 200 crores.
Now that Fox Star Studios is onboard, many Hollywood technicians and VFX artists will be working on the project. Gunasekhar confirmed that the film is very much happening and it will start rolling soon. Pre-production has been completed already. More details in regard to lead cast and technical team will be out in the days to come.
