The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has promised to provide free Covid – 19 vaccine to the people of Bihar, which would become the first party in the nation in this regard. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday released the party’s election manifesto in the wake of the state assembly elections.
The BJP will take the responsibility of distributing the corona vaccine free of cost. The vaccine will be made available to the public free of charge as soon as it is approved by ICMR, “said Nirmala Sitharaman during the release of the manifesto. Bihar’s National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has become a guiding light for other states in the fight against corona.
She said that three vaccines were being tested in India at different stages and if they were successful, India is ready to produce vaccine doses massively on large scale economically.
Opposition party tried political mudslinging by claiming that the ruling party is misusing covid situation for selfish purpose. The Election Commission has demanded action against the party in this regard. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticised BJP, asking why should people wait for elections in their state to get vaccinated.
