Andhra Pradesh government recently lost almost a lakh crore investment on IT from two big Indian companies Adani Group and Reliance Group. Now, Andhra Pradesh is getting investments on Petroleum side.
Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources stated that the regions of Kakinada and Vizag were getting more attention from Petroleum companies. It seems that this region will get investments of 2 lakh crore in the next 5 years span.
Few people commented saying that this investment will provide jobs to several people in these regions and Andhra Pradesh will prosper in all sectors apart from IT. Few others stated that this will further pollute the shores of Andhra Pradesh making life miserable for the people in these regions. It is known that the offshore drilling of ONGC impacted the livelihood of several fishermen in Bhairavapalem village, East Godavari. Dharmendra Pradhan finalized that the government will be compensating the fishermen and will clear the amount.
Opposition party politicians stated that the AP government pushed away the investments that were ready to take off and were dreaming about the investments that may or may not come in future.
