Akhil Akkineni-starrer ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ opposite Pooja Hegde is prepping up for a theatrical release. Earlier the makers took to Twitter to declare that the film will hit screens on June 19, 2021.
Is Pooja Hegde going to be seen as a stand-up comedian!?. No, the actress was not planning on donning the hat of a comedian who should be on a show or conducting a session for a live audience, but plays a stand-up comedian ‘Vibha’ in this film.
Pooja will be seen in a special role which was not played by any actress till date in tollywood. Hearsay is that the rom com, written and helmed by Bhaskar, was cast after the makers auditioned about 100 actresses and models for the two crucial female characters.
Talking further regarding her unconventional character, she says, “It is so tough to play a stand-up comedian on camera because normally, comedians have a set to perform for an hour which they have practiced and rehearsed over a period. In the film, one had to build the joke and the punchlines to encapsulate the essence of a stand-up comedy show.
Pooja, will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam and a few other films across Hindi, Tamil and Telugu soon this year.
